The Joburg Market is pleased to afford customers the opportunity to pre-view its new corporate outdoor advertisements. The campaign which features five different outdoor advertisements will run on various sites located on Gauteng’s arterial roads including:
- N1 Ben Schoeman Freeway at MSD, 117 16TH Road Midrand
- NHC on Bayers Naude Drive, facing traffic coming from Northcliff Corner towards Cresta
- Barry Hertzog Ave. Guild cottage, viewed from Barry Hertzog north ex PS, Milpark
- 167 Jan Smuts’s ave & Chester
- Eloff Street Extension, Faraday Station
The new campaign, under the theme of “Open to all”, is aimed at informing ordinary members of the public that they can also buy from the Market.
Joburg Market CEO, Kgosientso Ramokgopa, says the campaign is sincere and seeks to dispel the misconception that the Market is only open to traders. The secondary objective is to convey the Market’s no-nonsense attitude to food safety standards.
Joburg Market is currently implementing its 2010 vision, centred on creating a ‘Market of the Future’ which will see an introduction of a set of measures and systems that will dramatically bolster the quality of produce sold in the trade halls as well as making the Market buyer friendly for end users.
The concept “Joburg Market Open to the Man and Women on the street” and “Our produce goes through intensive care” in the new campaign builds on this.
Joburg Market regards adherence to hygiene and food safety standards as non-negotiable and non-competitive. To this end, the Market has implemented a Food Safety Programme supported by state-of-the-art in-house laboratory to test the level of residue and pesticides of produce sold through its trading halls.
Ramokgopa says, “Having the lab on site help produce results quickly and improve general response. We do the tests to ensure that the produce that end up on the dinner table is safe for consumption and that the buyer can buy with a peace of mind.
“We believe that our new campaign conveys these messages effectively and that the public will take the opportunity to visit the Market and experience our wide range of superior quality fruit and vegetables at affordable prices, says Ramokgopa.
