Joburg Market Youth Desk
In an effort to generate interest amongst youths to become involved in agriculture, the Joburg Market created a Youth Desk that will hopefully see many young people venture into agriculture-related businesses – from primary producers to handling logistics, processing and packaging of produce.
The Youth Desk aims to develop agricultural awareness and cultivate skills among youth, particularly school leavers. The Joburg Market has come up with a catchy line aptly called ‘Let your life count for something’, which is a call to action for the youth to rise up and seize opportunities in the fresh produce value chain.
